正面描述	Crowned effigy of King George VI facing left, modelled by Percy Metcalfe, whose initials PM appear below the truncation of the neck. The king is depicted wearing the Tudor Crown with intricate decorative detailing. The circumferential legend reads KING GEORGE THE SIXTH, disposed around the upper and right periphery, with the denomination implied by the reverse. A fine beaded border encircles the entire design.

The Currency Board — not a central bank — had no independent monetary authority and effectively pegged its decisions to Crown directives from London. KM#24 is the copper-nickel type; its predecessor KM#19 runs through 1946 in .925 silver. Collectors frequently conflate the two when dates are worn.
