Reverse description The central device features the quartered shield of the Southern Rhodesia coat of arms, surmounted by the Tudor Crown and flanked by two sable supporters. The royal cypher GVI appears to the left of the shield and the letter R to the right, with the engraver's initials KG below the shield base. The circumferential legend SOUTHERN · 1952 · RHODESIA arcs across the upper field, while · HALF CROWN · is inscribed along the lower periphery, all within a beaded border.
