The gold outer ring is engine-turned with a fine cross-hatched guilloche pattern and carries the commemorative circular legend, divided by diagonal corner brackets, reading 160TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE UNIFORM PENNY POST. The denomination 1/2 CROWN appears at the bottom of the gold ring below the stamp design. |
