| Obverse description | Diademed and draped bust of Queen Victoria facing left, her hair drawn back and gathered in a chignon, wearing a finely detailed crown or tiara. The engraver's initials 'C.M.' appear at the truncation of the neck. The effigy is set within a raised inner circle bordered by an ornate Greek key pattern, itself framed by a beaded outer border. The legend 'VICTORIA' arcs above and 'QUEEN' below along the periphery. |
