| Obverse description | Central field displays a elaborate crowned quartered shield bearing the combined arms of Poland-Lithuania and Saxony, surmounted by an electoral crown. The dexter half of the shield incorporates the Polish eagle and Lithuanian mounted knight, while the sinister half bears the distinctive Barry of ten Or and Sable with a crancelin of Saxony. Mint-master initials FWoE appear beneath the shield in the lower field. The circumferential legend in Latin reads D G FRID AUG REX POL EL SAX, identifying the issuer as Frederick Augustus by the Grace of God, King of Poland and Elector of Saxony. |
