| 背面描述 | The denomination is displayed in bold, large roman numerals and capital letters arranged in four lines across the central field, reading XII / EINEN / REICHS / THALER. A horizontal rule separates the main legend from the mint mark S, which appears in the lower exergue. The design is stark and typographic, with no figurative elements, and is framed by a milled border. |

Brandenburg-Ansbach entered 1757 in a precarious position: the margraviate sat directly in the path of competing Austrian, Prussian, and French interests as the Seven Years' War engulfed central Europe. Christian Frederick Charles Alexander, the last ruling Margrave before the territory passed to Prussia in 1791, maintained a mint at Schwabach that continued striking subsidiary silver throughout the conflict. The 1/12 Thaler denomination served day-to-day fiscal needs when larger silver was being hoarded or requisitioned.
