The heraldic design is rendered in the flat, stylized manner typical of mid-14th-century hammered billon and silver coinage from the Meuse region. |

The overall composition follows the standard reverse type employed on small denomination silver coinage of the Luxembourg-Bar convention of the 1340s. |
