| 正面描述 | Draped bust of Louis I, Prince of Monaco, facing left, with long flowing hair falling over the shoulder in the style of the period. The portrait is rendered in moderate relief with fine detail in the drapery and facial features. A beaded inner circle frames the effigy. The surrounding Latin legend reads LDV·I·D·G·PRIN·MONOECI, identifying the ruler by grace of God as Prince of Monaco. The coin exhibits a milled border of fine denticles along the rim. |

Louis I ruled Monaco under French protection following the 1641 Treaty of Péronne, which ended nearly 300 years of Spanish suzerainty over the principality. These small silver divisions were struck in extremely limited quantities — Monaco had no permanent mint infrastructure and relied on contracted dies and sporadic production runs, which explains why survivors in any condition are genuinely scarce rather than merely undervalued.
