Reverse description Central field displays the denomination 1/12 ANNA in four lines of bold Latin lettering, followed by DHAR STATE, INDIA, and the date 1887, all enclosed within a beaded inner circle. An elaborate wreath of foliate and floral scrollwork surrounds the central inscription, filling the field between the inner beaded circle and the outer beaded border, lending the reverse a richly ornamental character typical of Indian princely state coinage.
