| Obverse description | Rudimentary emergency issue printed in red-brown ink on plain paper, with the central denomination numeral '1000 Roepiah' set within a decorative cartouche of crude guilloche-style scrollwork. The inscription 'NEGARA REP. INDONESIA' arches across the upper centre, flanked by corner numeral panels reading '1000'; the legend 'BON' appears at the top and 'NRI' at both top and bottom margins.
