| Descrizione del dritto | The obverse is printed in green and black on cream paper, centred on a radiating sunburst underprint from which a large five-pointed star emerges at the apex. A symmetrical central vignette presents a stylised tree flanked by oak-leaf branches, with four circular medallions across the upper register each enclosing guild or craft symbols. The denomination «Eine Million Mark» is set in bold Fraktur blackletter across the lower centre, below which the issue place and date «Bamberg, Aug. 1923» appear alongside a facsimile signature over the titles «Stadtrat: Oberbürgermeister» and «Geheimer Rat», with a red serial number and an embossed city seal at lower left. |

The denomination «Mark 1.000.000» appears in bold type on both the left and right flanks of the vignette, with the issuer inscription split as «Gutschein der» and «Stadt Bamberg» respectively. A patriotic aphorism in two lines runs across the upper register, while redemption conditions and validity notices are set in smaller text at the lower left and lower right corners. |
