| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse carries a large intaglio-style zero numeral at left-centre against a multicolour guilloche underprint in crimson and violet tones, with the EU flag vignette at upper left and the Portuguese Football Federation crest at upper centre alongside the inscription PORTUGAL. The central and right portions of the note are occupied by a photographic vignette of the Portuguese national football squad celebrating their UEFA Euro 2016 victory, the Henri Delaunay Trophy raised aloft, overlaid with the CAMPEÕES EUROPEUS / PORTUGAL FRANÇA / FPF 2016 circular emblem in gold and red. Blue and gold five-pointed stars border the design on both vertical edges, and the EUROSOUVENIR logotype appears at lower centre with the CEO facsimile signature at lower right. |

The EuroSouvenir program, launched in 2015 by the European Banknote Memory Association, produces these zero-denomination notes as licensed collectibles rather than currency — they carry no legal tender status but are printed to official banknote specifications by security printers, Oberthur Fiduciaire among them. Portugal has been one of the more productive issuing territories in the program, with new designs released through tourist sites, museums, and cultural institutions on a near-continuous basis since the country joined.
Oberthur's involvement guarantees genuine security paper and intaglio printing — the same production standards applied to circulating notes.
