Oberthur Fiduciaire in Rennes — one of the few firms authorized to produce euro-specification paper currency — handles the print run, which gives these souvenirs the same substrate, intaglio feel, and UV-reactive security features as genuine banknotes.

The Chaîne des Puys was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2018, one year after this note's issue date — making it a minor collector footnote that the regional tourism push preceded the official inscription.
