| Obverse description | Central vignette presents a portrait of Slovak writer Jozef Gregor Tajovský, with a vignette of his birthplace, the native house in Tajov ("Rodný dom v Tajove"), positioned to the left. To the right, the titles of two of his major literary works are inscribed: "Maco Mlieč" (1903) and "Mamka Pôstková" (1908). The denomination "0 EURO" appears in large numerals, accompanied by the "EUROSOUVENIR" legend and an anniversary inscription marking the 150th anniversary of his birth (1874–1940). |

Tajovský (1874–1940) was a Slovak realist writer whose short fiction drew heavily on rural poverty and social injustice in late Habsburg Slovakia — not the most obvious subject for a souvenir banknote. EECB issues are legal-zero-denomination collector items produced under a European Union framework that permits their manufacture provided they carry no face value; Oberthur Fiduciaire prints the series to genuine security-note specifications, complete with the characteristic feel of fiduciary paper. Designer A. Ferda has worked across several issues in this commemorative run.
