Oberthur Fiduciaire prints them on genuine security paper with the same equipment used for actual currency, which is precisely why they feel like the real thing.
Saint-Pierre-le-Moûtier's connection to Jeanne d'Arc is specific: she besieged and took the town in November 1429, one of her last military successes before her capture at Compiègne the following spring.
