Opmerkingen

The Schengen Agreement was signed on 13 June 1985 aboard the riverboat MS Princesse Marie-Astrid, moored on the Moselle where Luxembourg, France, and Germany meet — a location chosen precisely because no single signatory state could claim it as their own soil. The museum commemorating that agreement now anchors the souvenir note programme. EuroSouvenir's zero-denomination format has no legal tender status anywhere, but Oberthur's inclusion of a genuine watermark places it closer to banknote production standards than most novelty issues.
