This particular issue marks the 30th anniversary of Czechoslovakia's Velvet Revolution of November 1989, the largely non-violent popular uprising that ended Communist Party rule within weeks. Oberthur produces these on genuine banknote paper with real security features, which is precisely why they attract collectors who would otherwise ignore commemorative ephemera.
