| Reverse description | An eagle stands left with wings slightly raised, its head turned back to the right in a heraldic posture, set within the open field of the reverse. A kerykeion (caduceus) is positioned to the left of the eagle, and a grain ear rises to the right, both serving as civic symbols of Blaundos. The ethnic legend ΒΛΑΥΝΔΕΩΝ is distributed around the upper periphery, while the magistrates' names ΑΠΟΛΛΩΝ and ΘΕΟΓΕΝ appear in the lower field, identifying the coin's issuing officials. The overall composition is well-centered and typical of the civic bronze coinage of Lydian Blaundos during the Hellenistic period. |
