Obverse description Bare head of Herakles facing left, clad in the Nemean lion skin headdress, the scalp drawn up over the crown with the mane rendered in deeply incised parallel striations cascading behind the neck. The facial features are modelled in a robust Hellenistic style, with a strong profile, prominent brow, and well-defined chin. The field is plain and unlettered.
