正面描述 Laureate head of Zeus facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic style with detailed curly hair and beard visible at the jaw. The portrait displays strong, mature features characteristic of divine iconography common to Greek civic bronzes of this period. A laurel wreath encircles the head, its individual leaves rendered with care. The flan is irregular, as is typical of hammered provincial issues, and the surface shows an olive-green patina consistent with prolonged burial.

附加信息

Clannudda was a minor Celtic tribal authority in northwestern Iberia whose bronze issues circulated in a region where Roman commercial penetration was uneven and slow. These coins filled genuine transactional gaps in areas where Roman colonial infrastructure had not yet displaced indigenous exchange systems — a process still incomplete when Augustus finally consolidated Hispania after Actium.

The SNG Tübingen reference places this among a closely studied group, though die-link studies on Clannuddan bronzes remain sparse compared to the better-documented Iberian series.
