Clannudda was a minor Celtic tribal authority in northwestern Iberia whose bronze issues circulated in a region where Roman commercial penetration was uneven and slow. These coins filled genuine transactional gaps in areas where Roman colonial infrastructure had not yet displaced indigenous exchange systems — a process still incomplete when Augustus finally consolidated Hispania after Actium.
The SNG Tübingen reference places this among a closely studied group, though die-link studies on Clannuddan bronzes remain sparse compared to the better-documented Iberian series.
