| Beschrijving voorzijde | Wreathed head of Dionysos facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic style with softly modelled facial features and flowing hair. The deity wears a characteristic ivy or vine wreath, its clusters and leaves rendered in relief around the crown of the head. Long locks of hair fall behind the ear and onto the neck, with a prominent bunch of grapes or ivy berries visible at the nape. The portrait is set within a plain field with no legend, occupying most of the flan. |
