Obverse description Wreathed head of Dionysos facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic style with softly modelled facial features and flowing hair. The deity wears a characteristic ivy or vine wreath, its clusters and leaves rendered in relief around the crown of the head. Long locks of hair fall behind the ear and onto the neck, with a prominent bunch of grapes or ivy berries visible at the nape. The portrait is set within a plain field with no legend, occupying most of the flan.

Reverse description Central device of a kantharos (two-handled wine cup) with prominent handles, set on a short stem and base, rendered in bold relief. Above the kantharos, a bunch of grapes may appear depending on the die variety. Magistrate initials or monograms — such as KO, ΣΩ, ΤΙ, or ΔΗ — appear in the field, alongside secondary symbols including a wing, thyrsus, cornucopiae, or grapes, varying by issue. The design is unencircled with a plain field and no surrounding legend.
