Obverse description Laureate head of Apollo facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic style with finely detailed wavy hair curling about the neck and a wreath of laurel set upon the brow. The facial features are classically idealized, with a strong profile and delicate musculature. The Greek letters B and K appear divided across the left and lower fields respectively, serving as civic control marks. The portrait occupies the majority of the flan, with the truncation of the neck visible at the lower right.
