Obverse description Bare-headed bust of the youthful Dionysos in right-facing profile, his hair bound with a wreath of ivy leaves rendered in fine relief. The neck is slightly draped, and the portrait displays the idealized Hellenistic style characteristic of late Republican-era Phrygian civic coinage. A monogram appears in the left field behind the head.

Reverse description A cista mystica — the sacred wicker basket of Dionysiac mystery cult — depicted frontally at center, its latticed body clearly articulated. To either side stands a pileus of the Dioscuri, each surmounted by a star, the emblems flanked by laurel or olive branches extending outward. The ethnic legend ΛAOΔI appears in the upper field and KEΩN in the lower exergual area, together reading ΛAOΔIKEΩN, identifying the issuing city of Laodikeia.
