Obverse description Central field displays the royal cypher of Jan II Kazimierz Waza, composed of interlaced letters 'I' and 'C' (Ioannes Casimirus) with a prominent bold 'R' initial, surmounted by a royal crown. The monogram is set within an inner beaded circle, surrounded by a circular Latin legend in the outer field. The mint mark 'LW' (Lwów) appears in the lower portion of the inner field below the monogram.
