| Obverse description | Central field dominated by the elaborate calligraphic tughra of Sultan Mahmud I, rendered in the characteristic Ottoman court style with interlocking loops, ascending shafts, and decorative flourishes. A horizontal line divides the lower portion of the field, beneath which appears the mint name Islambul in flowing Arabic script. Numerals and additional inscriptions occupy the upper right field flanking the tughra. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border. |
