Eurosouvenirs — formally the European Educational Dummy Franc — issues these collector pieces through the EEDF framework as licensed novelty banknotes rather than legal tender. Oberthur Fiduciaire, one of Europe's more technically capable security printers, handles production in France. The pairing of a serious security printer with a souvenir product is less incongruous than it sounds: Oberthur has long accepted contracts across the spectrum from sovereign currency to commemorative paper.
R. Faille's signature as EEDF C.E.O. is the only authority credential this note carries.
