| Obverse description | Central field dominated by the imperial tughra of Sultan Mahmud II rendered in bold, interlocking calligraphic strokes in the Ottoman chancellery style, set within a crescent-shaped cartouche with a beaded inner border. The tughra, incorporating the sultan's name and titles in Arabic script, rises prominently from the field. The entire composition is surrounded by an ornate wreath of stylized floral sprays and leafy branches encircling the full perimeter of the coin. |
