| Obverse description | Central field bears a two-line Arabic legend in bold naskh script reading 'al-Sultan al-A'zam / Toqta-bek Khan' (the Supreme Sultan, Toqta-bek Khan), proclaiming the authority of the Golden Horde Khan Toqta. The inscription is enclosed within a single circular border composed of raised pellets, a characteristic decorative device of Golden Horde coinage. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edges, consistent with the hammered production technique of the period.
