Obverse description Central field depicts the Bohemian lion rampant to left, crowned, within a beaded inner circle. The lion is rendered in the medieval heraldic style typical of Bohemian coinage of the period. A circular legend surrounds the beaded border, carrying the abbreviated royal titulature of Ferdinand I. The overall design is characteristic of hammered small silver coinage of mid-16th century Bohemia, with an irregular flan and slightly weak strike on the periphery.
