Obverse description A bride and groom in classical drapery kneel facing each other before an altar bearing an open Bible surmounted by a crucifix, their hands joined in relief at the centre of the composition. The engraver's signature PETIT F. appears to the right. A two-line legend with scriptural citation occupies the exergue below a horizontal ground line.
