备注

Penny was a Romanian discount retail chain that operated a network of stores in the early-to-mid 2000s before the brand was repositioned. These vouchers functioned as internal scrip — issued to customers as promotional credit and redeemable only within the chain's own outlets, placing them technically outside the scope of legal tender legislation entirely. The barcode is the operative security element here, tying each voucher to point-of-sale validation rather than to any visual anti-counterfeiting measure.

Collectors pursue these less for monetary significance than for their documentary value as retail ephemera from Romania's rapid post-communist commercial expansion.
