Opmerkingen

The 1954 Bulgarian state loan vouchers were instruments of compulsory borrowing — not voluntary investment. The postwar People's Republic ran successive "subscription" campaigns through the early 1950s in which workers were effectively required to purchase loan bonds through workplace deductions, with redemption dates set years or decades out. Many were never redeemed at full value.

Printed domestically at the State Printing House in Sofia, these vouchers bypassed foreign currency printers entirely — a deliberate policy shift from the prewar period.
