Reverse description A floriated cross with rounded terminals occupies the central field, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. Surrounding this circle, a circular Latin legend in Gothic lettering reads: +DA + PACEM + DOMINE (Give peace, O Lord), a devotional inscription commonly found on late medieval Swiss and South German coinage. The overall design is characteristic of the hammered bracteate-influenced tradition of the Basel mint.
