Obverse description Two heraldic shields displayed side by side in the central field — the left bearing the arms of Vienna (an eagle with a cross on its breast) and the right bearing the arms of Austria (an eagle) — framed by a laurel wreath tied with a ribbon bow at the base. The circular legend runs along the upper rim, with the date 1904 in the lower exergue flanked by two stars. The engraver's signature J. SCHWERDTNER appears in small letters beneath the wreath.
