| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse field is entirely occupied by a thirteen-line Latin inscription in capital letters, recounting the Venetian capture of Morea, Patras, Lepanto, and the two Dardanelli forts from the Turks within twenty-four hours. The date is given in both Old Style and New Style (14/24 and 15/25 July) followed by the Roman numeral date M·DC·LXXXVII, with the engraver's initials IGL at the very bottom of the field. |
