| Reverse description | Central field displays a large ornate cross pattée or floriated cross occupying most of the inner circle, a common type for Béarnais petite monnaie of the period. The cross arms extend nearly to the inner border, with small decorative elements in the angles. The surrounding Latin legend, arranged clockwise within the outer border, references the locality of Morlaàs (Fourquie), the traditional mint town of Béarn. The overall style is consistent with the debased hammered billon coinage of the late fifteenth century. |
