| 正面描述 | Facing bust of a ruler depicted in a schematic, stylised manner characteristic of late Sogdian coinage. The effigy features a broad, flat face with summarily rendered eyes, a prominent nose, and minimal detailing. The head is surmounted by a crescent-form headdress, a common regal attribute in Sogdian iconography. The shoulders are faintly visible at the lower field. The overall artistic treatment is bold and abstracted, struck on an irregular flan. |

Southern Sogdiana in the first half of the eighth century was a region under acute pressure — Arab armies had pushed through Khorasan and were systematically dismantling the network of semi-autonomous Sogdian principalities that had flourished along the Silk Road. Local bronze issues from this period represent the final gasps of indigenous monetary production before Umayyad administrative coinage displaced regional traditions entirely. The specific mint here cannot be assigned with confidence; Sogdian numismatics still lacks the die-study infrastructure to resolve many of these attributions.
