Obverse description Stylized bust of a ruler depicted in three-quarter right-facing profile, with sharply rendered hair rendered in a characteristic Central Asian manner. The effigy, though crude in execution due to the hammered technique and local artistic tradition, conveys a frontal or near-frontal royal presence typical of Sogdian coinage of the early medieval period. The flan is irregular and the surfaces heavily worn, obscuring finer detail in the field. No legible inscription is visible on this side.
