Obverse description Elephant depicted in left profile, rendered in low relief in a schematic, provincial style characteristic of Sogdian coinage. The animal occupies the central field, with its trunk, legs, and body mass clearly delineated despite the irregular flan. A Sogdian inscription encircles the elephant in the surrounding field, identifying the issuing ruler.

Reverse description The reverse bears the double tamgha dynastic emblem of the Principality of Ustrushana, rendered in low relief at the center of the field. The tamgha, a composite symbol of authority and dynastic identity, appears as a stylized device formed by two conjoined or overlapping elements. The field is otherwise plain, consistent with hammered bronze issues of the Central Asian principalities of this period.
