| Obverse description | Conjoined busts of a male figure to the left and a female figure to the right, rendered in a schematic, provincial style characteristic of early medieval Sogdian coinage. The male bust, positioned on the left, displays flowing hair and facial features in profile, while the female bust to the right is similarly depicted facing left. The entire central device is enclosed within a border of raised pellets, visible around the coin's irregular flan. Traces of a crescent or crown-like adornment appear above the busts, referencing the Sogdian iconographic tradition of divine or royal imagery associated with the goddess Nana. |
