Obverse description Facing head of a feline animal, most probably a lion or panther, rendered in a bold, archaic Central Italic style with heavily stylised, deeply modelled facial features. The mane or fur is suggested by broad, sweeping relief lines radiating around the head. The flan is irregular and the surfaces are heavily encrusted with dark green and brown patina consistent with extended burial. No legend or inscription is present in the field.
