Beschrijving keerzijde The Ujjain symbol, a distinctive ancient Indian device comprising four large globular orbs arranged at the cardinal points and connected by two crossing straight lines forming a cross. The symbol is rendered in low relief and occupies the central reverse field, with no accompanying legend. This motif is strongly associated with the Ujjain region and appears frequently on early punch-marked and cast copper issues of central India.
