The Iltirkesken were an Iberian people of the northeastern Hispania interior whose coinage is known almost exclusively from a single mint, identified by its distinctive ibex-head symbol. Production falls within the broader Roman pacification of the peninsula following the Sertorian War, a period when many indigenous Iberian mints were either suppressed or quietly wound down. Whether Iltirkesken ceased striking on Roman orders or simply through economic absorption remains unresolved.
ACIP 1399 is among the scarcer attributions in the CNH sequence for this issuer.
