Ieso was a small Iberian settlement whose precise location remains disputed among scholars — most place it somewhere in the northeastern interior of the peninsula, possibly near modern Guissona in Catalonia, though the identification is not universally accepted. The city struck bronze coinage during the period of Roman provincial reorganization, when dozens of Iberian mints produced autonomous issues under loosely Roman-influenced monetary frameworks. Output from Ieso was modest, and the survival rate reflects that.
