| Описание реверса | Horseman advancing to the right at a canter, the rider wearing a chlamys and holding an upraised palm branch in his extended right hand. A Iberian legend in Levantine semi-syllabic script appears in the exergue below the horse. The composition follows the characteristic Iberian jinete type widely adopted across northeastern Hispanian mints during the early 2nd century BC. |

| Дополнительная информация |
The Cessetani were an Iberian people centered around the lower Ebro region, their territory roughly corresponding to modern Tarragona. This issue falls squarely within the period of intensifying Roman administrative pressure following the Second Punic War, when indigenous Iberian mints were producing bronze coinage partly to meet Roman tax and military supply demands — not simply for local exchange. The Romans formalized Hispania Citerior as a province in 197 BC, and Cessetanian issues from this window reflect that uneasy accommodation with Roman fiscal expectations.
CNH#161 places this among the earlier, heavier bronzes of the series before progressive weight reduction became standard across Iberian mints through the late second century.
