Reverse description A mounted warrior gallops to the right upon a spirited horse rendered with vigorous, naturalistic movement, its legs extended at full gallop. The rider, depicted in military attire, extends a long spear or lance horizontally to the right in a charging posture. Below the horse and rider, in the exergue, appears a legend in Iberian (Celtiberian) semi-syllabic script, identifying the issuing authority. The composition follows the standard Celtiberian horseman type widely employed by mints of the Iberian Peninsula during the late Republican period.
