Obverse description Bare male head facing right, draped in a mantle fastened at the shoulder with a fibula, rendered in the Ibero-Roman artistic style typical of Hispanic coinage of the second century BC. The hair is depicted in heavy, rope-like strands falling behind the neck. A stylized shell or hand symbol appears in the lower left field, serving as a mint mark or control symbol. The portrait is executed in relatively high relief against an unadorned field, with no surrounding legend.
