Reverse description A detailed panoramic view of the city of Cracow stretches across the central field, depicting the skyline with numerous church steeples, towers, and civic buildings rendered in fine engraving. Above the cityscape, radiant sunbeams burst downward from parting clouds in the upper field, symbolizing divine favour upon the royal city. Below the panorama, within the lower field, the date MDCLXXVII and the inscription 3. APR. (3rd of April) are engraved, commemorating a specific royal occasion. The circular legend ALMA URBS CRACOVIA arcs below the cityscape along the lower rim, identifying the depicted city as Cracow.
